在專輯《After Hours》的兩年後，The Weeknd 第三度與 Ariana Grande 合作，釋出了歌曲〈Save Your Tears〉的混音版本（他們兩人第一次合作為 2014 年的〈Love Me Harder〉，第二次合作為 2020 年的〈off the tables〉），讓〈Save Your Tears〉這首本早已打入告示牌單曲榜前五名的單曲，獲得更多的關注，於隔週直接躍升至告示牌單曲榜冠軍。

在〈Save Your Tears〉中，The Weeknd 與 Ariana Grande 在一段感情的結束過後，偶然在路上遇見了前任；然而不同於多數分手情歌，這首歌能看見他們以自省的姿態，一邊盼望能重新回到對方的身邊，一邊對於自己造成的傷害感到抱歉，希望對方能停止哭泣並重新找到幸福。
這並不是《After Hours》的第一首混音版單曲，The Weeknd 曾找來 Doja Cat 於混音版〈In Your Eyes〉獻聲，另外他的冠軍單曲〈Blinding Lights〉也曾與西班牙歌手 ROSALÍA 合作釋出混音版歌曲。他在這一年間也創下了許多紀錄，其中之一便是〈Blinding Lights〉的驚人續航力，至今在告示牌單曲榜前十名停留高達 57 周以上，為停留在前十名時間最長的單曲，第二名則是 Post Malone 的〈Circles〉（停留 39 周）。
